Harry....

I miss you.

I finished the last Harry Potter book this weekend. And I feel like I've just returned from a long journey with a friend, a friend that I may never see again. It's like he became my friendly neighbor that I would check on multiple times a day (though usually on the train). I'm just waiting for him to pop up somewhere and in some kind of trouble that I can read him through.....

So to distract me from the Harry-shaped hole in my heart, I've been watching Gilmore Girls. I'm almost through season 2 and the girls are becoming my Harry...slowly but surely!

I think I may get a little too emotionally attached to fictional characters....

Beloved characters make reading such an exquisite pleasure!
I've made many friends and foes across the ages and spaces that lit the pages of my library.
The nostalgia of the reunion eventually belies the beautiful agony of the final page.
It's bittersweet to reach the end of a journey and find oneself alone again.
I loved your little vignette.
I too have fallen in love with the trials and tribulations of both harry & the GG in their turns and long for epic continuations.
Cheers!

aw--thanks molly! (she's doing -much- better...but, still has a long way to go before she's back to normal!)

aaaand, i'm going to second mel's vote: stay AWAY from twilight. nothing good ever comes from teenage-angsty-hormonal-teens & vampires. ;)
